Welcome to the MHWC
Our Services
PLEASE NOTE We're unable to accept any more new clients for ongoing counseling in fall quarter, in order to serve students who have already scheduled appointments this month.
- If you are experiencing a crisis during finals week, Dec. 9-12, you can walk in to our office (RSS 258) and schedule a one-time appointment with one of our therapists.
- We also offer these online services, available anytime:
- TimelyCare – speak online with a mental health professional, 24/7
- Wellness Central – get health and wellness information
- eCheckup To Go – learn how to support your own well-being and healthy behavior
If You Have an Emergency
Call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest hospital. The Mental Health and Wellness Center is not a 24-hour program. For immediate assistance, see the list of 24-hour crisis hotlines below.
Stop By Our Office in RSS 258
You can visit us to learn more about our services or make an appointment for counseling at our office in RSS 258, upstairs from the Bookstore in the Registration & Student Services Building.
Sign Up for Individual Counseling
We have a new scheduling system: You can begin the process by requesting an intake form. Do this by sending an email to mhwc@deanza.edu
- Be sure to include your name, CWID (8-digit Campuswide ID number), your availability for the quarter you're requesting services in, and a short statement that you're requesting our services.
- Suzanna, the administrative assistant, will confirm your registration and will post the forms in the PyraMED Health Services online portal, where you can find them when you log in.
Filling Out the Forms
Here's how to complete the intake forms, once they're posted in the health portal:
- Log in to MyPortal, then locate the card for PyraMED Health Services, and click to open the PyraMED portal.
- When the PyraMED portal displays on your screen, click on the My Forms tab, then select the forms to complete and submit them online.
- Please allow up to three business days for our office to assign and book your appointment.
