- If you are trying to schedule a counseling appointment and you receive a message in error that says you are on probation (when you actually are NOT on probation):
- Please contact the General Counseling office at 408.864.5400 for further assistance.
- You can review the standards for being placed on academic or progress probation by visiting our Standards and Requirements webpage.
- We're currently available Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- If you are unable to connect with an AAP team member, please leave a voicemail with your full name, CWID, phone number, and a good time to reach you.

AAP Help Desk
Use the AAP Help Desk for a Quick Question
You can use the AAP Help Desk to send us a question. Here's how:
- First, click the yellow bar that says Log In to AAP Help Desk.
- Once you have logged in, click Ask a Question.
- From the drop-down menu select a question.
- Type in any details that will help us understand your situation, and then click Submit.

Drop-Ins
Drop-In for 10-15 Minutes
Have a quick chat with a member of the Academic Awareness Program (AAP) team – no appointment needed – during the hours listed below.
Zoom Drop-ins
Click the yellow bar that says "Drop In Via Zoom" to log in for a 10-15 minute online session during these hours
In-Person Drop-ins
For in-person drop-ins, please stop by the General Counseling office front desk during these hours. The General Counseling office is located in the Registration and Student Services (RSS) Building, Second Floor, Room 201
Standard Drop-in Hours (both in person and on Zoom, unless otherwise indicated)
- Mondays: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with AAP student success specialist (Zoom only)
- Tuesdays: 10 a.m. to noon with AAP counselor
- Wednesdays: Noon to 2 p.m. with AAP counselor (Zoom only)
- Thursdays: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with AAP student success specialist
- Fridays: No sessions available

If you're not part of a program or Learning Community that has its own counselor, you can click the yellow bar below to schedule an appointment with an Academic Awareness counselor according to your last name:
- If your last name begins with A–L, your Academic Awareness counselor is Phong Lam
- If your last name begins with M–Z, your Academic Awareness counselor is Glynn Wallis
