Achievements
De Anza Football in the News – and Breaks Records
The Mountain Lions were featured on NBC Bay Area last week during its junior college sports segment. The team was praised for beating Cabrillo College with a score of 99-3 – which is a school record and believed to be a state record. The news segment also highlighted student Akeem Wright, who had an incredible touchdown catch.

Free Hot Food Every Wednesday
The World Food Movement, formerly Sattvic Meals Foundation, will be coming to campus every Wednesday, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., to provide free, hot meals to students. You can stop by Roary’s Market, located in The Hub in the Baldwin Winery Building, to pick up your meal.
This partnership is sponsored by the Foothill-De Anza Foundation and its donors.
Veterans Day Celebration at Cupertino Veterans Memorial
President Omar Torres will join city and state officials for a Veterans Day celebration tomorrow, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Cupertino Veterans Memorial in Cupertino Memorial Park. More information about the event can be found on the Cupertino Veterans Memorial website.
Winter Registration Assistance Sessions
Different offices will be offering winter quarter registration assistance this month to help students prepare for the upcoming quarter. Please see below for session dates and times.
De Anza CONNECT will be serving new, first-time students on Zoom and on the Registration and Student Services Building (RSS) second floor.

Next Week
CSU East Bay Business and Economics Info Session Next Wednesday, Nov. 19
The Transfer Center is collaborating with California State University, East Bay to host an information session about the university's College of Business and Economics next Wednesday, Nov. 19, from noon-1 p.m.
The college offers Bachelor of Science programs in Business Administration (BSBA), Economics, Accounting and Analytics, and Business Analytics. The Business Administration degree also has an online completion program available to transfer students. Please register in advance.
De Anza Hacks 4.0 Next Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21 and 22
The fourth annual De Anza Hacks will be held on campus next Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21 and 22, from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. both days.
During this coding marathon, students will work together to design prototypes and present their creations to judges for the chance to win a prize. To participate, please register online by this Friday, Nov. 14. Please email questions to deanzadevelopers@gmail.com.
New Euphrat Museum of Art Exhibit
Artist Reception This Saturday, Nov. 15

The Euphrat Museum of Art’s newest exhibit, “Invoke-History,” showcases artwork drawn from lived, ancestral and community stories that preserve and present history through the artists’ creative lenses. The exhibit was named for a software command used to retrieve or repeat past commands, reflecting the theme of the artwork.
Artists include Cynthia Brannvall, Caleb Dowdell, Tatyana Fazlalizadeh, Colleen Quen, Marlene Larson, Kristin Lindseth, Oscar Lopez, Tony May, George Rivera, Flo Oy Wong and Bing Zhang.
The exhibit is open now through Dec. 11. You can celebrate the opening of the exhibit at the artist reception this Saturday, Nov. 15, from noon-2 p.m. There will be live music and refreshments.
The museum is open Tuesday through Thursday, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. It will also be open during the De Anza Flea Market on Saturday, Dec 6., from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., and the First Thursday spoken word and open mics on Nov. 6. and Dec. 4, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The museum is open to tour groups by appointment.
