- Article 19 faculty members: Are encouraged to attend both days of Opening Day RSI training if possible, but if you were not able to attend, you can complete the asynchronous online RSI training course available after October 15, 2024. In order to be paid for RSI training, you must revise your Article 19 paperwork to include any compensation that results from RSI training, and you need to ensure that total compensation for the year does not exceed your maximum allowable annual compensation.

From the Online Education Office
The Regular and Substantive Interaction Regulation changes by the Department of Education 5 ask institutions to develop clear guidelines for RSI, to develop professional learning opportunities so all faculty teaching online are aware of the institutional guidelines, and to have a process for ensuring RSI is taking place in all online courses.
