What If I Took the AP Exam?
You can earn credit for Advanced Placement language exam scores of 3, 4, or 5.
AP credit will be awarded toward General Education requirements for the A.A. or A.S. degree, or for course credit or elective units for the A.A. or A.S. degree.
To Be Awarded Credit:
- Please visit the Credit for AP Scores webpage, maintained by the Evaluations Unit of the De Anza College Admissions and Records Office, and follow their instructions for submitting official AP Score Reports to that office.
To Clear a Prerequisite:
- Please visit the Meeting Prerequisites webpage, maintained by the Evaluations Unit of the De Anza College Admissions and Records Office, and follow their instructions for submitting an unofficial copy of your AP results to that office.
Please note that the World Languages Department does not process these requests. They must go through the Evaluations Unit of the De Anza College Admissions and Records Office.
A student who receives AP credit and then takes the equivalent De Anza course will have the duplicated unit credit deducted before being awarded the A.A. or A.S. degree.
