About Me

Julie Kennedy is executive director for the San Jose Campus of  Neighborhood Christian Schools. Born and raised in the state of Washington, she began her early childhood career in 1991, serving in one of only two intergenerational programs in the United States.

After completing her undergraduate work, she moved to the Bay Area to finish college and began serving in education  as both a teacher and director.

Kennedy currently teaches at De Anza, Foothill and San Jose City colleges. Partnership projects include her work on the NAEYC accreditation team for SJCC, the CAP program with the state of California, coaching and mentoring teachers through the California permit process, and speaking at Early Education conferences.
