CIS 501
Reframing Problems With AI

Course Description

This course helps students build foundational skills for working effectively with AI as a cognitive partner. Through hands-on practice in three key areas: problem reframing, critical evaluation of AI outputs, and stakeholder synthesis, students will move beyond simply implementing technical requests to identifying the real problems that need solving. Working with a real or simulated challenge, students will build on their progress each week, advancing from surface-level thinking to integrated problem-solving.  These skills are increasingly important for professionals in product management, consulting, data science, AI engineering, user experience (UX) research, business analysis, and any role requiring strategic problem-solving with AI tools.
