Why Study Project Management at De Anza?

De Anza College offers a dynamic Project Management Practitioner pathway that includes an Associate Degree, Certificate of Advanced Achievement, and Certificate of Achievement—all designed to provide hands-on experience for individuals preparing to lead and manage projects in any industry.

More Than Just Project Planning

At De Anza, we believe a project manager’s role goes far beyond initiating, planning, and executing projects. Project managers are the bridge between strategy and action—they turn bold ideas into reality and help teams deliver outcomes that drive growth and innovation.

A Legacy of Practical Training

Our Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS) Department launched its first project management course in 2005 to support local businesses and government agencies in training their teams. Since then, we've helped hundreds of students build career-ready project management skills, with demand growing each year.

A Natural Fit for Silicon Valley

As a recognized leader in computer science and vocational education, De Anza’s CSIS Department sees project management as a natural extension of its mission—preparing students to thrive in high-impact roles in the heart of the tech industry.
