News on the Vice President of Instruction Position

Dear Colleagues,
I know that many of you are wondering how we will fill the vice president of Instruction position following the closure of the previous search and the upcoming retirement of Christina Espinosa-Pieb.
We will soon open the position as an internal interim role to begin in January. In additional good news, Christina will be extending her retirement date in order to work with the interim for a period of time before beginning to use her accumulated vacation, while still being available for any needed assistance and consultation. As always, we appreciate her generosity, her extensive institutional knowledge, and her deep care for De Anza College.
Meanwhile, the search for the permanent associate vice president of Instruction is underway, with interviews scheduled for January.
