Asian Law Alliance: Working for Justice, Dignity and Equality

Kiriko Takahashi joined Asian Law Alliance as a staff attorney in 2012. Soon after she was hired, she initiated a weekday clinic to assist clients applying for various forms of immigration relief as well as developed and built ALA’s pool of volunteer lawyers and community members. The weekday clinic enabled ALA to assist with refugee adjustments of status, naturalization, DACA, petitions for family members and other immigration petitions. After a two-year hiatus, Kiriko returned to ALA in 2017. She currently focuses on the Violence Against Women’s Act (VAWA) and U visa cases. Kiriko obtained her B.A. at the University of California, Los Angeles, and her J.D. at Southwestern Law School. Kiriko is a native Japanese speaker.
